Week of February 9th
This week, students have been super productive. In SOAR we took a small break from the curriculum to focus on this month's moral focus theme of courage. We talked about what courage is and what is looks like. Students wrote about various ways they show courage in their lives and even made a comic strip about courage.
In Green Book math, we have been completing performance tasks and playing review games on integers and coordinate graphing as a way to prepare for an upcoming chapter test on Thursday. Next week will begin working on chapter 7 which covers equations and inequalities.
In Red Book math, students have been digging in to Surface Area and have even gone as far as cutting cylinders up to physically see that the lateral surface of this figure is really a rectangle. Next week, we will move on to Volume and students will have a chapter 9 assessment on Friday, February 20.
